In this hymn, each verse contains a statement expressing a sinner’s condition before conversion, focusing on various aspects of depravity such as bondage to sin, a guilty record before a holy God, and spiritual death. The second part of each verse describes God’s activity in redeeming each respective condition.
There is an emphasis in each stanza on the exclusivity of service to God. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:24, “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.” Similarly, Christians cannot, in a spiritual sense, worship, sing, cling, and live for both God and someone or some-thing else. Christians are exclusively the slaves of God because He bought them.
lyrics
Sin claimed my will, my choices:
Captive not in part but all;
Till You captured me, and now I’m free
To worship no one else.
O how my heart was bent to
Answer not Your loving call;
Till You enthralled me, lest I would sing
A song to someone else.
Guilt stained my finest garments,
Tainted by an unkept law;
Till You washed me white with the blood of Christ,
Now I’ll cling to no one else.
Unless You act on my behalf,
There’s no hope for me.
Borne dead by my transgressions,
Death enacted at the Fall;
Till You gave me life by Your Spirit’s might,
And I’ll live for no one else.

This is a great collection of settings for the Psalms. It's diverse in it's music as well as in the poetry. Some has a Reformation/Puritan feel, others are much more modern retellings. Garrett Lee
